Marie Mongan
Sr Amori Jordaan has a feverent passion for Midwifery, especially in the education of mothers, partners and nursing staff. She was appointed at Netcare Linkwood, in Johannesburg, as the Unit Manager for the maternity ward early in 2022 after obtaining a Master's degree in Midwifery in 2021. She has spoken at multiple nursing conferences and has been interviewed for magazine articles and on radio stations, sharing her love and knowledge on all things mom and baby.
She has since implemented a client-centered-approach in Netcare Linkwood's maternity ward, aiming to provide any and all maternity related services in a one-stop approach for the hospital's clients. It became evident that Antenatal classes play an incredibly important part of the birth preparation process and that Linkwood's clients were missing out. COVID*-19 has striiped us all of enough, it can't take this away from us too.
In an effort to better prepare mothers and partners for their momentous life-changing occasion, the birth of their beloved baby, these antenatal classes were born. We believe that in-person pregnancy education carry more value in preparing for birth than an online version.
"Educating and guiding clients is my passion. I don't only want to guide you through your 9 months of pregnancy, but also help you through the unspoken months that follow thereafter."
We will cover anything and everything you need to know and practice before the next chapter of your life start as parents. Classes are held in a relaxed fashion with some serious, some fun and some funny topics.
Life is serious enough and birth is stressful enough, so our classes aim to highlight the lighter side of things! (Believe me, you'll need it!)
